CHANGES IN VEHICLE TAX AND REGISTRATION
The way you pay your registered motor vehicle property tax has changed. Beginning with September 2013 registrations, you will pay your registered motor vehicle tax and your registration fee to the NC Dept. of Motor Vehicles at the same time.
Tax bills for real and personal property are mailed to all Surry County property owners in July or August of each year. If you do not receive your tax statement, please contact the Tax Collector’s Office during regular office hours to request a statement of taxes due.
